Puzzle # 41: Extra Region XV Quadruples Sudoku!
Hello again! The inspiration for this Extra Region XV Quadruples Sudoku came quite some time ago when I asked someone I used to work with - "JP" - to put in some random digits from 1-9 in a few random cells. After some effort, I managed to keep most of their given digits and created the puzzle you see below. I quite like this puzzle - if you've solved even a few variant sudokus, there are several ways to get into the puzzle; however, the end is less friendly.
Rules:
- Apply classic sudoku rules
- Extra Regions: place digits 1-9 inclusive exactly once in each coloured extra region
- XV: Digits in cells separated by an X or V must sum to 10 or 5 respectively. (No negative constraint)
- Quadruples: Digits in a white circle must appear in 1 of the 4 cells surrounding the circle
Enjoy, and may the cookies crumble in your favour!
CC :)
