Puzzle # 44: Helpful Handful Sudoku!
Hello once again! I created this puzzle quite a while ago and instead of listing all the variants in the title, I'll list them below instead because there are a great many in this Helpful Handful Sudoku. There is sure to be something for everyone in this puzzle, so buckle up because here come the rules for this puzzle's SIX variants!
Rules:
- Apply classic sudoku rules
- Thermos: digits must form a strictly increasing sequence along thermometers, starting at the round bulb (not necessarily consecutively).
- Killer: digits in cages cannot repeat and must sum to the number in the top left corner.
- Diagonal: digits along blue lines cannot repeat - that is, each blue line contains a distinct set of digits 1-9 inclusive
- Palindrome: digits along green lines form palindromes - that is, they read the same forwards and backwards
- X: digits separated by an X must sum to 10 (no negative constraint)
- Sandwich: the clue outside the grid indicates the sum of ALL digits between digits 1 & 9 in r6.
